Bartram Work Party-2/27/10 9am

I was just made aware of a scheduled work party at Bartram Forest this Saturday from 9-noon. Eric now has an intern who is in charge of organizing trail maintenance and development. Dan Kaufman is filling the internship this semester, and this is his first scheduled work party (more dates to come). We will focus on the rock armoring of two significant muddy spots on the singletrack. If you've been there recently, you know where I'm talking about. Other issues may be addressed pending turnout. If you plan to come, please bring gloves, water, and a snack if you'll want one.

If Dan could post his upcoming work days a little sooner (or send them to me and I'll post them), it would help more of us to plan to help.

Wink

Yeah, I know...I think he was hesitant to really put the word out about Sat, as this is his first time at the dance (i.e.- I don't think he wanted a lot of people to manage). I told him that I would put the word out, and be there to help organize everybody. I also told him that most of the folks who would volunteer from the BCM had some experience with this kind of thing, and would need less management.

I'll be there if I don't decide to do the Bleckley ride. I would like to go so I can take April Fools Ride fliers and forms, but trail work is important, too. (not to mention how cold it will be at 8:30am )

I spoke too soon. My sinuses have been in an uproar all week and I'm staying in out of the cold air and whatever has my allergies riled up.
Sorry I'm not there to help. Hope y'all had a good turnout and got a lot of work done.
